Scanlan
Corgi Bliss Hero's Song of Valhalla

Scanlan was the puppy I wasn't planning on keeping, but couldn't bring myself to let go. At 3 weeks old I was photographing his litter and just got that feeling. When he tested DM clear, I knew it was meant to be! As a puppy he was always intuitive about training and learning manners. As he grew I fell harder for his natural charm and level-headed personality. He continues to grow into an outstanding ambassador for the breed, and is easily his father's "mini - me".

He is a very correct male of correct size (around 28 - 30 lbs / 13 kg), with a stocky build and thick bone structure. He is short and stunning!

His puppies have had such amazing personalities over the years with a majority of our future breeding program being daughters of his!

Scanlan is part of Katie's Corgi Pack.

HEALTH
This guy is genetically clear all around! He is clear for the major genetic diseases that Pembrokes are known for - DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), vWD (von Willebrand's) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). This means that He does not carry a copy of the mutation for any of these ailments, and even if bred with a dog who is afflicted by them, he would not be able to produce it in his puppies! His hips were rated as "Fair" (no evidence of hip dysplasia) with his elbows being "Normal" (no evidence of elbow dysplasia). His eyes were tested by a canine ophthalmologist and rated as "Normal" and his Heart was cleared by a canine cardiologist as "Normal" as well.

This guy does not carry the tricolor gene, so all of his puppies (even if bred with a tricolor) will be red or sable and white. He also does not carry the fluffy gene, so will not produce a longhaired Corgi.
