Slipper

​Lady Slipper is one of our top cuddler corgis. She was born here in 2021 by Fruity Petals and our handsome import sire Merlin. Slipper is sweet, calm and lower drive. She has the perfect quintessential corgi look with her 4 white paws, perfect white blaze down her cute face and a bright white full collar. She is a medium-sized female, weighing around 22 lbs / 11.5 kg.

 

Slipper enjoys hiking through our forest, going in car rides, hanging out in the house with her buddies, greeting our many hiking guests, sleeping on beds and loafing around. She passes her calm personality and friendliness.

HEALTH

This girl is a Carrier (carrying one copy of the mutation) for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) and vWD (von Willebrand's). Because she is a carrier, we will always carefully make sure that whoever she is bred with is completely Clear. By doing so, none of her puppies will be At Risk for the disease. She is completely clear for EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). Her hips and elbows were xrayed by a vet who has had decades of experience with OFA xrays. Her hips were rated as "Good" (no evidence of hip dysplasia) with her elbows being "Normal"(no evidence of elbow dysplasia). Her eyes were tested by a canine ophthalmologist and rated as "Normal" and her Heart was cleared by a canine cardiologist as "Normal" as well.

This girl does carry the tricolor genes, so if she is bred with a dog who also carries this genes there is a chance for this trait to be expressed in her puppies! She does not carry the fluff gene.
