Rey

Rey was born an old soul in a dog's body. An observer and a cuddler, she is content to hang out indoors. Now that she is older she is more than happy to join us on our forest hikes, and snuggle up afterwards for a good nap. She has a luscious, longer-type coat that is super soft and showy, though she is still considered a regular coated Corgi. She is a beautifully balanced girl - very fox-like with fantastic bone structure. She is the kind of girl that breeders dream of having in their breeding program, and has produced daughters and sons with her fantastic looks and temperament!

HEALTH

This girl is well health tested! She is only a Carrier (carrying one copy of the mutation) for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy). Because she is a carrier, we will always carefully make sure that whoever she is bred with is completely Clear. By doing so, none of her puppies will be At Risk for the disease. She is completely clear for vWD (von Willebrand's) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). Her hips and elbows were xrayed by a vet who has had decades of experience with OFA xrays. Her hips were rated as "Good" (no evidence of hip dysplasia) with her elbows being "Normal"(no evidence of elbow dysplasia). Her eyes were tested by a canine ophthalmologist and rated as "Normal" and her Heart was cleared by a canine cardiologist as "Normal" as well.

This girl does carry the tricolor and fluffy genes, so if she is bred with a dog who also carries these genes there is a chance for these traits to be expressed in her puppies!
