Geordie

Geordie is a truely stout and Corgi. Taking the best traits from her European father and her Argentinian mother, she represents the best of the showline Corgi structure from around the world. She is incredibly sweet, an easy-going girl but not a pushover in a group of other dogs.

 

HEALTH

 Geordie has been tested for all of the major genetic diseases that Pembrokes are known for. She is only a Carrier (carrying one copy of the mutation) for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy). Because she is a carrier, we will always carefully make sure that whoever she is bred with is completely Clear. By doing so, none of her puppies will be At Risk for the disease. She is completely clear for vWD (von Willebrand's) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). She is clear for vWD (von Willebrand's) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). This means that she does not carry a copy of the mutation for any of these ailments, and even if bred with a dog who is afflicted by them, she would not be able to produce it in her puppies!​​

Her hips and elbows were xrayed by a vet who has had decades of experience with OFA xrays. Her hips were rated as "Good" (no evidence of hip dysplasia) with her elbows being "Normal" (no evidence of elbow dysplasia).

 

Her eyes were tested by a canine ophthalmologist and rated as "Normal" and her Heart was cleared by a canine cardiologist as "Normal" as well.
