Dafni

Dafni has been one of the most easy-going girls ever! She is a daughter of our Scanlan and Lily, both of which are from 100% European bloodlines. This makes her a third generation Corgi Bliss girl! She is not super needy, but will love a snuggle in bed at night. She is not a vocal Corgi, but is happy to be a part of the crowd and in the fun! She is incredibly obedient and, like her father she was a fun and easy puppy. That being said, she is never seen in the drama.

 

She is a smaller female at around 22 lbs / 10 kg, which is typical for our little European bloodlines. She is built a lot like her father with a shorter body type and chunky little legs! She has a beautifully feminine face from her mother, though has touches of her father expressing themself more as she grows!

HEALTH

This girl is the pilot Corgi for our PennHip program! This is a more reliable hip test than OFA, and a wonderful tool for breeders to make better breeding decisions. Dafni's hips are much better than the average for the breed through PennHip! We did also send her xrays to OFA, which passed as well as her elbow xrays. She is also clear for the major genetic diseases that Pembrokes are known for - DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), vWD (von Willebrand's) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). This means that she does not carry a copy of the mutation for any of these ailments, and even if bred with a dog who is afflicted by them, she would not be able to produce it in her puppies!​​
